Sharing actionable marketing advice to grow an online digital product business with ~10,500 readers every week

Hey Reader,

Have you ever had website envy? You land on a page, start scrolling, and every word seems perfectly crafted. 😙

👌 The messaging is so clear, so compelling, that it feels like it's speaking directly to you.

Your cursor hovers over the ‘Work With Me’ link, and you were only there for a bit of browsing. 🤷 You asked yourself, what’s the magic behind it?

That’s the magic I wanted to capture for my own personal brand website as I transitioned to focus primarily on my coaching services since I have moved my digital products to my HelloContent shop.

To make this happen, I teamed up with Sarah Sambles, a copywriting and brand messaging expert.

Join us in today’s podcast episode where we dive into the behind the scenes, nitty-gritty of transforming my website into a place where every visitor feels understood and engaged, even when you're serving an audience at different stages in their business or life. 🙌

What's Working and What Doesn't: Email Swipe Files for Speakers/Contributors

I don't consider myself a copywriter. Far from it.

But after writing hundreds of email swipes for our various events over the past couple of years, I've learned a thing or two.

Summit speakers and bundle contributors don't approach these events like their own launches.

And why should they? It's not their launch, and they certainly don't want to risk flooding their audience with a ton of emails.

As a result, they typically steer clear of sending a sequence of emails like "it's coming soon," "registration is open," "it's time to register," "FAQ email," "event starts tomorrow," or "event starts in 60 minutes."

Can you blame them? I certainly don't.

They tend to send just one or two emails at most, so I've stopped drafting email templates they'll never use.

What does work, however, are super focused emails that not only tell a compelling story about the transformation awaiting attendees, but also dive deep into specifics about the workshops or products included in the bundle.

Another strategy that's working, is teasing the tripwire in the swipe files, giving attendees a heads-up about the opportunity to grab the offer at a reduced price once they register.

In one of our recent events, a contributor said that the emails were "absolutely perfect for her audience!"

Now that is what you want to hear!

📧 What do you think? Do you send out a sequence of emails when you're speaking at an event or participating in a bundle?

Hit reply and let me know!

$30 for all the contracts you need

My attorney friend, Braden, has an amazing offer called the Contract Club. It’s $30 and includes dozens of contract templates and terms.

And no that wasn’t a typo.

Check it out here [affiliate link].

I purchased it myself a few years and was blown away. It basically negates the need for $200+ one-off contract templates.

Braden recommends that we all have:

  • A client agreement
  • Cancellation and postponement agreement
  • Contractor agreement (if you’re hiring)
  • Website terms of use and privacy policy

Those are just the basics. And most template shops will cost you $200+ to get each of these separately. You can probably triple that to work one-on-one with a lawyer to create your contract.

But the Contract Club has you covered for just $30. Just know you’ll more than get your money’s worth if just one document (or even one contract clause) is useful.

Summer Get Your Funnel Done Experience

I'm thinking of offering a Summer Get Your Funnel Done experience that will go for about six weeks.

This will be a live experience and at the end you will have your tripwire funnel set up with your lead magnet, tripwire offer and any order bump or upsells/down sells.

If you need to create digital products for your funnel, we can tackle that also.

If this sounds like something you're interested in, click here to let me know. I'll only do it if there is enough interest, but would love to work with you.

Best,
