The AI Insight

How I write four newsletters a week with Claude

Claude drafts every issue. I still pick the topic, read every draft and hit schedule.

My Creator's MBA newsletter goes out four times a week, and if I wrote every issue from a blank page I wouldn't get anything else done.

So Claude drafts all of them. It works because of four things I set up once, so I'm not explaining my newsletter to AI from scratch every week.

Each edition has its own Claude skill with the sections in order and the rules for that edition. My voice rules live in one place, like no em dashes, use contractions and write prices like $97.

Most issues start from an article I already wrote, and Kit is connected to Claude, so the finished draft goes straight into Kit for me to read.

Start Your Voice Rules This Week

Of the four things, your voice rules are the easiest place to start, and you only need your last few issues to do it.

Paste your last three newsletters into Claude and use this prompt.

This week's prompt

Here are my last three newsletters. Make a list of how I write, including how long my sentences are, the words and phrases I use a lot, the words I never use and how I open and close each issue. Then ask me questions one at a time about anything you're not sure of.

Save the list in a skill or a Claude Project so Claude reads it every time. And every time you fix the same thing in a draft twice, add it to the list.

Then read every draft before it goes out. Recently one of my subject lines described a speaker's workshop too narrowly, and I caught it before it went anywhere. Anything with a name, a number, a date or a price gets checked against where it came from.

The full article has all four things I set up, what a normal week looks like for me and how to start if you send one newsletter a week.

The recorded workshops go up Tuesday at 9am ET and stay open until Friday morning. The summit is free.
