I Let AI Audit My Entire 41,000-Person HobbyScool List

What happened when I connected the Kit MCP to Claude and just started asking it questions.

Last week I connected something called the Kit MCP to Claude. If you have not bumped into MCPs yet, the easiest way to think about one is a direct line between Claude and your Kit account. Once it is connected, Claude can see your live data and pull from it right while you are talking to it.

So instead of logging into Kit, exporting a report, dropping it into a spreadsheet, and trying to spot the patterns myself, I just started asking questions. And it went and got the real answers straight from my account.

In one sitting it pulled my subscriber growth, every tag, all my forms and sequences, and my whole broadcast history at the same time. It felt less like checking a dashboard and more like having someone sitting next to me who already knew all my numbers.

The way it works is honestly the best part. You ask a question in plain English and it goes and pulls the real answer from your account. Which broadcasts got the most clicks. What my last ninety days of growth actually look like. Which sequences are pulling their weight and which ones are not. I am not exporting anything or hunting through reports. I am just asking my data questions and getting straight answers back.

And it does not stop at the surface numbers. I can tell it to dig. Find the patterns in my best subject lines. Show me what is working that I have not been paying attention to. It pulls the live data and does the analysis right there, in less time than it used to take me to find the right screen inside Kit.

Here is what all that visibility made obvious. The MCP can show you the picture with total clarity. What it cannot do is build the thing that changes the picture. That part is still on you. And for most creators, the asset that moves the numbers the most sits right at the front door: the lead magnet that brings the right people in and actually keeps them.

A lead magnet has three jobs

1. Attract the right person, not just any person

2. Deliver a real quick win

3. Bridge them toward what you actually sell

Most lead magnets stop at number two. They deliver the win and then go quiet. A PDF that gets downloaded and forgotten is not a lead magnet. It is a dead end with a nice cover.

The fix is to build the bridge in from day one. The freebie, the landing page, and the welcome email all working as one system that moves a new subscriber toward your offer instead of leaving them to figure it out alone.
