Free Training
Make money every time you hit send
I ran a six-month study on the newsletters that actually make money, then built a free training around what I found. You'll get the three-part structure behind newsletters that sell, so every issue you send delivers real value and brings in revenue. You'll also get my Newsletter Revenue Calculator, which shows you what your list could realistically be earning in about sixty seconds.

This Week's Deep Dive
You don't have a content problem. You have a structure problem.
Sending more was never going to fix a newsletter that wasn't paying you.

Everyone in my world is panicking about open rates right now. AI is rewriting what lands in the inbox, the numbers are sliding, and the advice making the rounds is to write more, send more, and hope something sticks. Meanwhile my list of around 38,000 people is opening at 56 percent, and I promise you it isn't because I write more than anyone else.
It comes down to how the emails are built. Most newsletters are structured like a one-way memo, with one story, one link, and one shot at getting someone to click or buy. When that one thing doesn't land, the whole send is wasted, and the reader learns there's not much reason to open the next one.
The newsletters that actually make money are built like a magazine instead. There are three to five short sections in every issue, so there's always something for the reader to land on, and always more than one natural place for you to make an offer.
|
Build it like a magazine
Pick three to five short sections you run in every issue, the same ones each week. Here's a set that works:
The One Idea: a single insight or lesson from your week.
Steal This: a template, swipe, or quick tactic they can use today.
Worth the Click: one outside link, tool, or read you actually rate. (A natural affiliate spot.)
Behind the Build: a real look at what you're making, testing, or selling right now.
Your Turn: a reader question, poll, or one-line reply prompt.
Then layer in Teach & Pitch: teach something genuinely useful, then make one natural offer in the same send. Value and revenue in a single email, without the unsubscribe spike.
|
Here's what I'd do this week, and notice that it has nothing to do with writing more. Don't draft another word yet. Instead, decide on the three sections you could run in every single issue from here forward. That one decision will do more for your revenue than any individual subject line ever will, because it turns your newsletter from a thing you reinvent every week into a product your readers recognize and open on sight.
I broke the whole system down in a free training, pulled straight from that six-month study. If your newsletter isn't paying you yet, that's where I'd start.

P.S. In July I'm teaching something inside Newsletter Profit Club I've never covered before: Kit MCP. It's a new connection that links your Kit account directly to Claude, so you can run the whole backend of your newsletter just by asking. I'll do it live, pulling the dashboards I've built from my subscriber data, drafting emails, and loading them straight into Kit, all from one place. If you've ever wished your email tool would just do the work for you, this is the one to be inside for. Come see what's in NPC →
