Here’s how to turn that plan into something real:

Start with just one use case.

Not the most complex. Pick the one that’s closest to your current bottleneck.

  • If your students are overwhelmed when they join? → Start with onboarding.
  • If they aren’t following through? → Test an accountability system.
  • If your DMs are full of repeated questions? → Try a custom GPT trained on your content.

These aren’t bells and whistles. They’re tools that quietly do the heavy lifting for you.

📌 BOOKMARK WORTHY STRATEGY

I love experimenting with AI, but not every idea is worth turning into a tool.

Here’s the 3-part process I use to decide what to build, what to skip, and what’s just a shiny object.


🔍 STEP 1: Start with the friction

I don’t start with the tool. I start with the friction point.

What’s slowing me down… or making it harder for my students to succeed?

Examples I’ve solved with AI:

  • Students not knowing where to begin → personalized onboarding flow
  • Members struggling to stay consistent → weekly accountability nudges
  • Repeated questions in my inbox → GPT trained on my content

If there’s no friction, I don’t build. Simple as that.


STEP 2: Ask, “Will this save me (or them) time every week?”

I don’t build tools that require constant maintenance or explanation.

If a tool can run quietly in the background, automating, nudging, or guiding, it’s worth exploring.

A quick test I use: Would this still work if I went offline for a week?


📈 STEP 3: Build the “minimum useful version” first

Most creators overbuild. I start scrappy and simple, then iterate based on real feedback.

Sometimes that’s:

  • A free GPT + a Google Doc of prompts
  • A single SMS automation with one smart question
  • A quiz before turning it into a full onboarding bot

You don’t need a dev team or fancy platform to start using AI in a strategic way.

You just need a process and a real reason.

Where we go from here isn’t about chasing every new tool. It’s about staying focused on what helps your students succeed and what keeps your business sustainable.

That’s the lens I’m using for every decision I make right now.
