The AI Insight

Your List Could Brief You Every Monday

A full rundown of what's happening with your list, in your inbox before you've had coffee.

Imagine this. Every Monday morning, before you open a single tab, a short briefing on your whole email list is waiting in your inbox. New subscribers, who left, your net growth, which emails got the most clicks, and anything that needs your attention. You skim it and you know exactly where you stand for the week.

I'd wanted that for years, and it just became possible. Kit launched their MCP, which is basically a direct line between Claude and your account. Claude can see your real numbers and pull them live, no exporting, no spreadsheets, no digging through your dashboard.

So I built the exact briefing I always wanted. Here's what it looks like, and how to set up your own.

The Build

How I Built My Monday Briefing

Here's why I wanted it. I'd open my laptop on Monday with no real idea how the week before had gone. I'd mean to check my analytics. Then something important would come up and I'd get pulled in another direction.

Now I don't check anything. The briefing comes to me. It runs on the Kit MCP plus one more piece, Claude's scheduled tasks, which let Claude run a prompt on a set schedule. You connect the two once, and it goes on its own from there. Here's how to set it up.

This week's build

1. Connect the Kit MCP at claude.ai/settings/connectors.
2. Create a scheduled task set to run every Monday at 7am with this prompt:

"Using the Kit MCP, pull the last 7 days from my account. Give me a one-screen Monday briefing: total subscribers, new, unsubscribed, and net change. Open and click rate for the trailing 90 days. Every broadcast sent to 1,000 or more people with its open rate, click rate, and unsubscribes, and flag the top performer. Churn grouped by entry point, and flag any buyer who unsubscribed. Lead with numbers, one line of meaning each. No advice unless something is clearly broken."

3. Run it once to test, then let it ride.

Here's what's actually in it:

📬 Monday Kit Briefing: May 25 to June 1

List health
Total subscribers, new this week, unsubscribed, net change.

Email performance, last 90 days
Open rate, click rate, total sends.

This week's broadcasts
Each send with open, click, and unsubs. Top performer flagged.

Churn by entry point
Which lead magnets and forms lost people, with buyer churn flagged.

Flags
Anything that needs me this week. Or a clear "all good."

It took about fifteen minutes to set up, and now it runs every Monday whether I remember to or not. That's the part I love. And once you can actually see your numbers every week, the real question is what to do about them.

Your Move

Then Go Fix What It Shows You

Once that report's running, it keeps showing you the same thing. Your list comes down to who you bring in and whether they stick around. And the thing that moves that the most is usually your lead magnet, the very first thing people get from you.

Next week I'm building a modern, interactive lead magnet with you in the Lead Magnet Lab. Not just another static PDF. It's a live, five-day sprint, and here's how the week runs:

Inside the Lead Magnet Lab

Mon, June 8 · Pick your modern lead magnet idea

Wed, June 10 at 1pm ET · Live build session. We build your lead magnet, landing page, and welcome email together.

Thu, June 11 · Test and refine your full opt-in flow

Fri, June 12 · Take it live and share your link

You leave with a modern lead magnet, a landing page, and a welcome email that connects to your offer, all built and working.

It's all free inside Newsletter Profit Club, which gets you the Lab and a whole lot more.

Go build something,
Destini

P.S. Even if the Lab isn't your thing this round, set up the Monday report anyway. Fifteen minutes now, and you'll know exactly where your list stands every week for the rest of the year, without lifting a finger.
