The AI Insight

The Oldest Emails in Your Account

Every new subscriber gets them. You haven't read them in a year.

Your welcome sequence goes out to every person who joins your list, when they're paying more attention to you than they will at any other point. No other email you send gets that kind of traffic.

It's also probably the oldest thing in your account. Most creators wrote theirs in one afternoon, turned it on, and haven't opened it since. So the sequence greeting every new subscriber this morning still has old prices in it, links to pages that don't exist anymore, and a pitch for an offer you stopped selling last year.

The Build

Audit Your Welcome Sequence in 15 Minutes

Rereading five emails and checking every link and price by hand is the kind of job that sits on your list for months, so hand it to Claude instead.

If your Kit account is connected to Claude, you don't even have to paste anything. Ask it to pull the sequence. If not, copy the emails in.

This week's prompt

Here's my welcome sequence [paste your emails, or if Kit is connected: "pull my welcome sequence from Kit"]. Audit it and tell me: 1) What's out of date — prices, links, offers I no longer sell? 2) Does the first email deliver what my opt-in promised, and does it ask for a reply? 3) Does the sequence bridge to a paid offer, and where? 4) Where would a new subscriber stop reading? Give me the three fixes that matter most, in order.

You'll get back a short list, and it splits into two kinds of problems. The out-of-date items are quick, and you can fix those before lunch.

The structural problems take longer. A sequence that never bridges to one of your paid offers, a first email that doesn't ask for a reply, subscribers going cold after email two. Fixing those means rebuilding the sequence, and that's more than a morning edit.

Your Move

The Rebuild Is at 1pm Today

That second list is what we're working on this week inside Newsletter Profit Club. The Welcome Experience Makeover runs all week, and the live session is today at 1pm Eastern, where we rebuild welcome sequences together, from the first email through the bridge to your paid offer.

Join NPC this morning and you'll be in the room this afternoon with your audit results in hand.
