I'd argue we're still in the thick of the Internet gold rush. Sure, things might be a bit more challenging than five years ago (and that's a big maybe). We might be in a recession, and folks might be tightening their belts.

But you know what? There's still a ton of opportunity out there for us digital entrepreneurs, coaches, service providers, freelancers - whatever hat you wear in the online business world.

I recently stumbled upon this article called "You are not late" from 2014. It talks about the wild west days of the Internet back in '94 (the year I graduated from Clemson, by the way).

The article suggests that if we could peek ahead to 2044, we'd realize most of the amazing products running people's lives then haven't even been invented yet.

Now we're 10 years down the road from that article. Think about all the great new inventions since then:

• ChatGPT and other AI tools revolutionizing how we work and create
• TikTok changing the social media landscape
• Blockchain and cryptocurrencies shaking up finance
• Virtual and augmented reality becoming mainstream
• Voice assistants like Alexa and Google Home in millions of homes
• Electric vehicles going from niche to mainstream
• Streaming services transforming how we consume entertainment
• Not to mention all of the great tools YOU use in your online business

And that's just scratching the surface! How many new businesses have popped up since 2014? (Probably yours, and definitely my brands!)

So here's something to think about today:

When you look back at 2024, will it be the year you said, "I can do this!"? The year you went all in and carved out your niche and little slice of the Internet?

Or will you find yourself wondering in 2044, "What could have been?"
